Medical Wellness & Physical Therapy: Evidence-Based Classes & Support Groups

“These classes are designed specifically to help people slow the onset of their symptoms and help them maintain their independence. My husband is really driven to fight back against Parkinson’s Disease, and while he is actively exercising in these classes he experiences improved moods, better sleep, greater balance and mobility, and the hallucinations associated with his stage of Parkinson’s Disease were very minimal and less disruptive in nature. During the extended state wide closing of businesses including 125 LIVE that began in March, my husband wasn’t able to participate in these programs, although alternative exercises were being offered online, due to his condition he isn’t able to follow along and requires additional direction and one on one support like he used to receive in class. By the end of the closure of 125 LIVE he had gone from walking with a cane to requiring a walker, he is less able to do things independently, he is physically deconditioning, his sleep patterns have changed drastically and he is often unwilling to do anything, even things he enjoys…” J.M.

Support Groups/Chronic Disease Management

125 LIVE is here to provide support when you need it most. Through our vast network of community partners and in-house resources, we can help you find the answers you’re looking for. In our support group, members provide each other with various types of help for a particular shared, usually burdensome subject. Members with the same issues can come together to share coping strategies, feel more empowered and for a sense of community.

This group is for survivors, fighters, and caregivers. The group meets before the Monday morning session for Fitness for Cancer survivors, fighters, and caregivers.
