Library
The 125 LIVE Library area is located downstairs in the “Gathering Place”. There are~1500 books, arranged in Fiction, Large Print, Biography, and non-Fiction sections. Members are welcome to visit the Library area as a reading room.
The Library Catalog is free to be viewed online. The online catalog can be searched and ordered by title, author or date published to help members peruse the shelves digitally both in-house or at home. Most entries include a synopsis or book review.
An icon linked to the online catalog has been placed on the desktops of all the computers in the 125 LIVE Technology Learning Center for ease of access by Social Members. Volunteers are available, upon request, to help Social Members explore the onlinecatalog, and if required set up a Member account.
Books can be checked out to Social Members using a pen and paper process.
An Optelec ClearView+ Low Vision Table Top Magnifier is available in the Library for Social Members. Brief instructions and a full manual are available by the magnifier, and volunteers are available, upon request, to demonstrate its operation.
Book Club
Book Club meets from 10am – 11am on the 2nd Thursday of the month.
Keep your mind engaged with a new book each month and a fun group with whom to discuss. If you’re a reader, then this club is for you!
